In strong and shaky times, where everything is changing extremely rapidly, we recognise it’s essential that we gain a greater understanding of the purpose and potential of our personal and collective evolution. There are very few singular spiritual paths or concepts able to bring a full spectrum wisdom and clarity to give us direction and confidence that everything is going to be OKAY and something totally extraordinary is unfolding . Imagine, that in ‘ reality’ as uncomfortable as things may seem we are being prepared for a Golden Age. This is a huge thing, and is very real. Marichi is the life-long personal protector from Khentrul Rinpoche. She is also considered the proteress of the Sublime Realm of Shambhala. Rinpoche will bestow her Empowerment and transmit a Marichi sadhana written by him which is based on his own visionary experience with this buddhist goddess.
THE BUDDHIST PROTECTRESS MARICHI In some lineages of the Vajrayana Buddhism, Marichi is considered to be one manifestation of Tara, appearing for example as the 21st Tara. There are other forms from her found also in other spiritual systems. She is the colour of the sunset, a wondrous, glowing orange. She comes with the sun and, as the sun, her blessings pervade everywhere.
This sadhana is also extremely helpful for those working with the Drolmi Kazug Puja. Beyond the empowerment and oral transmission of the Marichi Sadhana, Rinpoche will also give an introductory teaching on her and bestow a new Sadhana on the 21 Taras that focuses on Marichi. RINPOCHE’S PERSONAL CONNECTION WITH MARICHI Marichi (also known as Marīcī and Özer Chenma) came to Rinpoche’s life when he was a young boy herding yak cattles in Tibet. Without fences, it was quite difficult to take care of them. Some yaks hide themselves from the boy Rinpoche under rocks, and so used to spend the night in danger of being attacked by wolves. To help protect them, his family shared with him the Marichi mantra and the faith in her when he was still very young.
“I do not know exactly why, perhaps because of having no doubt when doing this or because of a special connection, when I recited her mantra and did the ritual according to the traditional manner of protecting the yaks, I have 100% guarantee that the yaks would be safe during the night. I never had problems with yaks being killed by the wolves since then, really never. So I kept that in mind and I recited innumerable mantras, many times, when I took care of them. So, afterwards, anytime when we had an obstacle I always relied on her.”
“So this is why Tibetan says that praying for Marichi helps. But, of course, it does not help everyone individually, as it depends for example on the individual connection and on the level of faith. You must have no doubt at all. I have indestructible faith in Marichi since my childhood, so this helped me to develop many connections with her during my life.”
WHO IS THIS FOR or HOW TO PREPARE MYSELF? There are no prerequisites at all. It is suitable for all levels of practitioners. Previous Buddhist study and practice are helpful but not mandatory. Khentrul Rinpoche received the empowerment, transmission, a special practice text and special rare blessed pills for this Black Dzambhala Practice in 2006 from HH Jigme Dorje Rinpoche, the abbot of Dzamthang monastery and the head of the Jonang lineage. He was given this secretly with the conditions that he must not tell anyone about this and practice in private until after HH Jigme Dorje entered into Parinirvana. Many students have requested this empowerment and teaching before but Rinpoche has never given it. He has chosen this year of HH Jigme Dorje entrance into parinirvana to be the auspicious time because Rinpoche has had many signs and indications in his dreams that it is the right time to give this. We do not know when and if he will give it again. What are the Benefits of the Wrathful Black Dzambhala Practice? Black Dzambhala is one of the 5 wealth yakshas. While our community often practices the yellow form based on accumulating wealth and the red form based on increasing fame, we have never been able to practice the most powerful form which is the Black Dzambhala. The black form is an extremely wrathful standing on other yakshas. He is known for controlling and magnetizing vast wealth,and resources to bring practitioners financial abundance, spiritual realization and a good relationship with the family, partner or spouse. Wrathful black Dzambhala works to harmonize the yin and yang, feminine and masculine aspects in relationships. For those who do not have a husband, wife, partner or children, it brings them. For those who are already in relationships, it helps create harmony and remove problems. While these worldly benefits are huge, black Dzambhala also brings spiritual realization. This is an extremely powerful practice that can help control wealth of one’s enemies, remove obstacles to wealth and bring in the wealth of money or a partner in a dramatic way. For this reason, the practice must be done secretly and be kept private to yourself. The black form subdues ego and greed to purify the practitioner to develop vast wealth which in its ultimate form is truly spiritual attainment, enlightenment. To receive these benefits you must do some practice at least 4 times a year. To receive a huge benefit you need to do this practice every week. Special Practice Packages and Sponsorship Opportunity In order for students to practice this, Rinpoche is arranging the very special consecration of some copper Black Dzambhala statues filled with many blessed pills containing precious substances and holy relics. A very limited number of Gold Black Dzambhala statues will be filled with the blessed pills and holy relics along with the special pills from Khentrul Rinpoche’s personal collection that HH Jigme Dorje Rinpoche made specifically for this Black Dzambhala practice. We are also arranging the correct Thangka for this practice to be created for students who would like. Anyone is welcome to participate in this empowerment who will follow the instructions. We have a very small enough of the practice packages. Each package helps create a karmic connection to the Kalki King Thangka project. Important Special Event Restrictions This empowerment has several special conditions listed below that all of the attendees are requested to follow.Khentrul Rinpoche is giving this for the first time after secretly keeping the requirements given to him by HH Jigme Dorje Rinpoche and ask that you do the same for him. Because Black Dzambhala is so wrathful that Rinpoche has created these requests for your own benefit. 1) You must keep it a secret that you have received this empowerment. Even if someone asks you if you have it, you can not say that you have received it. 2) You must make an offering of generosity to receive the empowerment and practice materials as listed below. Karmically this deity is based on vast generosity. Since this form is extremely wrathful and powerful, it is not suitable for a person who does not have the ability to make a financial offering or who practices stinginess as the foundation. In order to make more merit, Rinpoche is specifically putting all the offerings for the practice packages to create holy objects that will bring many blessings to the world. This is a way to make the generosity vast that is offered. 3) You can not show or share your text with anyone, this includes other Lamas and Dharma teachers. It is for your own personal use only. 4) You must do the practice at least 4 times a year and say the mantra 100x every week for at least 1 year. It is better to do the practice every week for 1 year if you really want to see a big result. The results are not only financial but you will be connected to Shambhala and protected by the Kalk Kings of Shambhala and your ability to have supporting partners and family in your life.5) Registration must be made in advance so that your practice materials will be available. Last minute registrations will only be accepted for attendance unless materials are still available.
Special Practice Packages In order for students to have the most effective practice, Rinpoche arranged the consecration of statues and Thangkas. We can not offer any financial aid for this event. If you are not able to make the offering at this time, you do not have the right current karmic conditions to do this practice. Please look for a Yellow Dzambhala empowerment in the future which we are able to be more flexible around. VAJRAPANI: Tame Your Demons
Tap into the power of all the Buddhas to tame your internal and external obstacles to realization. Vajrapani, the embodiment of the power of all the Buddhas of the ten directions and the three times is a fearless Bodhisattva of the tenth level and the guardian of the Buddhist tantras.
Khentrul Rinpoche will bestow a very special empowerment of Vajrapani known as the Demon Destroyer and the practice that Lama Lutrin used in the retreat in which he cured himself of Leprosy. This empowerment and retreat will help practitioners embrace their fierce power within to tame their obstacles on their path.
KHENTRUL RINPOCHE PERSONAL CONNECTION WITH VAJRAPANI
“For me Vajrapani is personally special because my root lama, Lama Lobsang Trinley, was considered as the actual Vajrapani. When he practiced it, he could completely heal his leprosy during a long solitary retreat. At the end of his retreat he achieved the same realization of the great Indian mahasiddhas.
My root Lama’s teachings on Vajrapani were incredibly special. As many high Lamas came to our monastery in order to receive the Vajrapani empowerment from him, I could receive it many times. All these Lamas who came had no doubt about his realization. They said that he himself was the actual Vaprapani, as they were witnessing my Lama taming incredibly powerful demons who wish to bring harm to our regions.”
This practice has a very special connection to the Shambhala King Suchandra, who requested the Buddha the Kalachakra Tantra Teachings and established these teachings in Shambhala, was an emanation of Vajrapani.

VAJRAPANI FOR KALACHAKRA STUDENTS
Rinpoche says that we do not necessarily need to practice Vajrapani separately, we just need to build a connection. Then, recollecting him, you can integrate it within your own practice, for example within the Kalachakra Path. You can either practice Vajrapani as your main practice and see it as non-contradictory with the Kalachakra Path, or you can focus on the Kalachakra system without seeing the separation from Vajrapani, as he is even included in the Kalachakra mandala.

There are no prerequisites at all. It is suitable for all levels of practitioners. Previous Buddhist study and practice are helpful but not mandatory. If you are new to the buddhist path, you may also like to study Khentrul Rinpoche’s “What’s Real?” course from our learning center and to read Rinpoche’s books “Unveiling Your Sacred Truth” — Books 1 and 2. For knowing more about Rinpoche’s root Lama’s biography and his connection with Vajrapani, you can find more information in the book “The Realm of Shambhala” where Rinpoche wrote about the whole Kalachakra lineage he holds.

Dying is an essential part of life; something that we all will experience. Whether you or a loved one are facing death today or decades from now, it’s important to understand what it means to live and die well. In this day long teaching, Khentrul Rinpoche will take us on a journey through what is known as the ‘bardo of death’, or transitionary period, between one life and the next, and the tremendous opportunity it offer if we view them as an opportunity for spiritual transformation.Khentrul Rinpoche will give teachings and transmission on the Kalachakra Phowa, a special practice to direct our transition to enlightenment at death.If we know how to make the most of this time, we can identify ways to reach liberation to the Sublime tantric realm of Shambhala to realize enlightenment in our next life. If we are exceptional practicers we can realize enlightenment through death. In order to do this we need to properly understand how to prepare and what to do at the right times. If you or a loved one is preparing for death this is a good course to find out what you can do to help them at the moment of death.
