On the eve of the September 11th anniversary, join us for a powerful evening of contemplative dialogue and spiritual solidarity. Peace in Dialogue: Dharma Across Traditions brings together three extraordinary teachers—Khentrul Rinpoche (Vajrayāna Buddhism), Swami Sarvapriyananda (Advaita Vedānta), and Ācārya Sthaneshwar Timalsina (Tantric Śaivism)—to reflect on how their traditions and personal journeys have crossed spiritual, cultural, and philosophical boundaries in pursuit of peace and wisdom.
Rooted in ancient lineages yet deeply responsive to the present moment, these teachers will share stories and insights that illuminate a path forward—one that honors difference without division and upholds authenticity without exclusion. This live dialogue offers a rare window into the transformative power of interfaith engagement, contemplative wisdom, and shared inquiry.
The event is hosted by the Psychotherapy & Spirituality Institute in partnership with St. John’s in the Village and Dzokden, with support from the broader interfaith and spiritual community. A garden reception will follow.
Featured Speakers:
Khentrul Rinpoche is a Tibetan monk and Jonang Kalachakra master known for his teachings on nonsectarian ethics and collective awakening. He is the author of The Path of Meaning and founder of Dzokden, a global community dedicated to building a more compassionate and spiritually grounded world through the Kalachakra teachings.
Swami Sarvapriyananda is the spiritual leader of the Vedanta Society of New York and one of the most respected teachers of Advaita Vedānta in the world today. A compelling speaker and scholar, he brings deep knowledge of Hindu philosophy and a profound commitment to inner and outer peace.
Ācārya Sthaneshwar Timalsina is a scholar-practitioner of Tantric Śaivism and a teacher of the Sarvāmnāya traditions. With roots in Nepal and a global academic presence, he bridges rigorous scholarship and embodied spiritual practice to illuminate pathways of wisdom across traditions.
