Pilgrimage Coordinator

We are seeking a Volunteer to fill the role of Pilgrimage Coordinator to support the team in planning future pilgrimages to various destinations worldwide.  This role involves researching potential pilgrimage sites, planning the logistics and developing comprehensive travel itineraries.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research on one or more potential pilgrimage sites that Rinpoche identifies as important for us to visit
  • Identify significant historical, cultural, and spiritual landmarks, as well as accommodations and transportation options
  • Assess the feasibility and suitability of each location based on factors such as safety, accessibility, and alignment with Rinpoche’s spiritual  objectives
  • Collaborate with the team to create detailed itineraries
  • Research flights, local accommodations and transportation 
  • Plan the group logistics, meals, baggage handling, and emergency procedures
  • Develop a preliminary budget for expenses  

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.Detail-oriented
  • Enjoys researching and exploring potential pilgrimage sites 
  • Experience in travel planning and logistics is helpful
  • Ability to use Google Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slack
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Need flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
