About this Program
Dzokden Golden Age Guides are a dedicated group of Dzokden volunteers who lead and facilitate local practice groups worldwide, ensuring that the living experience of the Kalachakra according to the Jonang lineage is accessible and supported within every sangha. These students are personally selected by Khentrul Rinpoche for their demonstrated skill and deep knowledge, serving as vital pillars of the Dharma who bridge the gap between Khentrul Rinpoche’s texts and the experiential meditative stages of the Kalachakra-Jonang tradition.
This unique program enables Golden Age Guides to:
- Operate across multiple languages and countries
- Be a direct point of contact and support for practitioners
- Act as representatives of Dzokden and provide orientation to Rinpoche’s mission
- Lead practice groups in the Kalachakra-Jonang lineage
- Play a strategic role in ensuring the local sangha remains a cohesive, vibrant force for peace
- Serve as local hosts when Rinpoche visits their region
This comprehensive global initiative coordinates administration, translation, and events to support our Guides in their mission to lead a shift in global consciousness and realize a new Golden Age of peace and harmony for our world.
A Living Network of Support
Golden Age Guides play a vital role in nurturing a connected, vibrant, and supportive global sangha. Through both online and local communities, they help ensure that practitioners are not walking the path alone. They serve as:

Leading and supporting book clubs to study and work through the teachings in community. - Spiritual Support & Dharma Companions
Offering guidance, encouragement, and peer-based support as practitioners navigate the stages of study and meditation. - Dharma Teachers & Mentors (Developing Pathway)
Participating in ongoing training to deepen their capacity to share the teachings skillfully and responsibly. - Stewards of Community
Helping maintain harmonious, inclusive, and aligned sanghas that reflect Dzokden’s values and Rinpoche’s vision.
A Path of Practice and Service
Becoming a Golden Age Guide is not simply a role—it is a continuation of one’s own path. This program offers practitioners the opportunity to:
- Deepen their understanding through study, teaching, and direct application
- Strengthen their realization through service to others
- Cultivate the bodhisattva qualities of generosity, responsibility, and courage
- Participate in a meaningful effort to benefit the world
Through supporting others, Guides themselves gain greater clarity, confidence, and integration of the teachings into lived experience. Learn about Practice Groups in your area
Our Global spiration
Our aspiration is that every practitioner—no matter where they live in the world—has access to authentic guidance, meaningful community, and the support needed to engage deeply with the Kalachakra path. Dzokden takes an online-first approach to Dharma. We begin by ensuring that practitioners everywhere are supported through global digital sanghas, so that no one feels isolated—even in places where there are few or no local practitioners. In this way, the Dharma remains accessible, connected, and alive for all. At the same time, we are committed to a language-first approach. By supporting Golden Age Guides across multiple languages, we aim to ensure that Khentrul Rinpoche’s students can receive guidance, connection, and support in their own language and cultural context. This helps build a truly inclusive and global community.
As the number of practitioners grows, we then encourage the development of local practice groups and centers—creating spaces where people can gather in person, deepen their practice together, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. As pioneers in bringing the Jonang Kalachakra teachings and Dzokden Dharma to a global audience, we recognize that establishing many small centers everywhere is not always practical in the early stages. For this reason, our focus is to first create meaningful impact online, building strong foundations of practice and community. From this foundation, we can gradually support the organic growth of local sanghas around the world. In this way, Golden Age Guides serve as the vital link between ancient lineage wisdom and a unified global community—helping transform individual practice into collective momentum, and contributing to the emergence of a Golden Age of peace and harmony for all beings.
Golden Age Guides operate across cultures, languages, and regions, forming a worldwide network of support for the Kalachakra path. They:
- Serve as local points of contact for practitioners
- Help orient new students to Khentrul Rinpoche’s mission and teachings
- Support educational materials and resources, organization of educational programs, and ensure accessibility of teachings
- Support the hosts of local events and visits when Rinpoche travels to lead prayers, practice sessions and teachings at the retreats
In this way, they help ensure that the Dharma is not only preserved, but alive—accessible, embodied, and responsive to the needs of modern practitioners.
