For the first time ever, Rinpoche will bestow the 1000 Buddhas Empowerment and Puja near the seat of Buddha’s enlightenment in Bodh Gaya, India. This special puja and empowerment conducted by Rinpoche and monks from all Buddhist traditions will connect us with all the Buddhas of this fortunate eon. As part of this offering the names of 1000 Buddhas are recited which have a tremendous power to purify.
Each of the Buddhas through their Buddha and Bodhisattva activities made prayers and aspirations to purify the negative karma of sentient beings. All of them perfected the power of aspiration and achieved the 10 qualities of a Buddha. The name of each Buddha contains the power of their past prayers to help purify the Karma of the beings of this eon. The names of the Buddha are incredibly powerful for those who are near death or recently died.
Those who make offerings to help sponsor the Puja will have the opportunity to set up the blessing and superintendence tablets for themselves and their family members, as well as for their relatives and karmic debtors to purify and make merit. All the tablets will be given in the annual fire offering ceremony near Saka Dawa or if changes permit at a ceremony in India.
Each token can be written with the name of one person (e.g. Qian Jing or Qian Jing’s whole family, or Qian’s clan members and unjust relatives and debtors).
