We are so grateful to announce 2023 Kalachakra Empowerment will be given at the request of our event partner Shambhala International, Khentrul Rinpoche will bestow historic empowerment at their location in Boulder, Colorado. This is a historic opportunity for the Tantra brought to our earth by the Shambhala Kings to be given in an important space in which Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche brought so much Dharma to the world and through their introductory programs have diligently worked to share his Shambhala vision of an enlightened society. We find a lot of synchronicity with Khentrul Rinpoche’s vision of the Golden Age. The Empowerment will be available it in person at Shambhala in Boulder, Colorado.
We hope this helps create the conditions for peace and harmony to flourish around the world. The empowerment ceremony will take place in a meditative atmosphere over a few days. Please make sure to be present for all the sessions in your time zone. It includes a ceremony to spread prayers for peace and harmony around the globe, ritual dances, and the unveiling of a 3d version of the Jonang Kalachakra Mandala. You will be guided in a clear step-by-step way through empowerment so that you can understand what you are receiving. Through lectures, discussion, meditation, mantra, and ritual offerings, form a deep connection to your own inner realm of peace and harmony.

If you want empowerment you must receive it live. Some other sessions will be recorded to accommodate people in a variety of time zones. Because we can not answer emails from everyone who has a schedule conflict, we have indicated the sessions that you absolutely must be present to receive this empowerment as “REQUIRED”.

COMPLETE SYSTEM TO ENLIGHTENMENT
The Tibetan Buddhist Jonang Lineage specializes in the complete path that guides students in a clear step-by-step system to enlightenment. It is known specifically for upholding the 6 vajra yogas through which many enlightened masters have transitioned. It has rarely been taught in its entirety to lay (non-monastic) practitioners in the West. Most of the Jonang Yogis have decided to remain practicing in their caves and monasteries in the Himalayas. Khentrul Rinpoche has made it his life’s mission to bring these teachings to the west in English. He hopes to create the conditions for both female and male practitioners living in their daily lives to realize the heart essence of these profound teachings.
Kalachakra for World Peace Buddha Shakyamuni taught the Kalachakra Tantra to the Kings of Shambhala at the same time the heart sutra was taught. In it, there is a clear prophecy for world peace to arise on this earth. Come create the conditions to usher in the Golden Age of Global peace and harmony. Khentrul Rinpoché is very genuine focusing on catalyzing the transformation of the authentic aspirations of his students. He makes this rich & complex ancient wisdom accessible so that anyone can engage with it more easily, at their own capacity, in all areas of their life.
HOW THE ONLINE EMPOWERMENT WILL WORK
1) Register each attendee that will be receiving the empowerment. Choose your preferred language. You will receive a confirmation email. After that, you will be added to our online learning center at learn.dzokden.org.
2) Before the empowerment, you will receive information on some simple supplies you should get to help make the experience as authentic as possible. If you are not able to get them all don’t worry. They are symbolic and you can still receive empowerment. More important you must understand what is happening. Just attending empowerment does not mean you receive it. You must know what is going on. To ensure everyone will receive empowerment, Rinpoche will kindly make his instruction booklet available to you as an eBook so you can follow along so you know exactly what is happening. You are not allowed to share this program book with anyone else or give them access to the empowerment. This is private for your personal use. Rinpoche typically gives the eBook out the night before but if this is a technical problem for you (you can’t read an eBook and be on zoom at the same time) please indicate on the registration form so we can work to accommodate you.
3) You will receive access to zoom for each of the sessions. While Khentrul Rinpoche wants the attendees there for every session, we have indicated the absolute required sessions so as not to have to a lot of emails about special circumstances. That said, he would prefer you are there for all of them

Dying is an essential part of life; something that we all will face. Whether you or a loved one is facing death today or decades from now, it’s important to understand what it means to live and die well.
In this 3 day retreat, Khentrul Rinpoche will take us on a journey through what is known as the ‘bardos’, or transition periods, between one life and the next, and the tremendous opportunity they can offer if we view them as an opportunity for spiritual transformation. This is a good course for those new to Kalachakra or those who want to learn how to practice in all moments.
Bardo means in-between. We are always in moments of transition. This course helps us identify the important moments of transition and what we do in them. Khentrul Rinpoche will help us understand the profound steps we can take to make our life meaningful so we are prepared for death and what we can do at the time of death. In this practical teaching, Khentrul Rinpoche will bestow the Kalachakra phowa transmission and help us identify opportunities for liberation in the Bardo.
Vajra Vega, the wrathful form of Shri Kalachakra and the King of the Wrathful Deities, is the protector aspect in Kalachakra. There are many benefits to establishing a connection with Vajra Vega. The essence of Vajravega is that he represents the non-conceptual primordial wisdom which arises when the winds enter the central channel. This is the method by which the root ignorance of conceptuality is cut. It is also the basis or the container in which the precious six vajra yogas arise. When we establish a wheel of protection with Vajra Vega, we are symbolically stopping the arising of dualistic appearances, and abiding within the non-conceptual wisdom.
It is very important and special for us to connect with this aspect of Kalachakra in our lifetime so that we may be benefited from the connection in the Bardo state after death. While we must do our best to create karmic propensities to realize our own sacred truth during this life, if we do not then in the Bardo state after death, we may be able to recognise Vajra Vega in the sea of wrathful Deities and be liberated.

HOW THE ONLINE EMPOWERMENT WILL WORK
1) Register for each attendee that will be receiving the empowerment. You will be added to the course on learn.dzokden.org
2) You must receive the empowerment and oral transmission online in real-time. We do not record empowerment. We do not offer empowerment books for this event.
3) You will receive access to the zoom for each of the session of the teaching.
Access to Video Materials Afterwards
The retreat access and all the prayers will be provided for you in Dzokden’s new online learning center (Khentrul Rinpoche’s International Organization). We encourage everyone to connect to the live-streamed retreat in real time but if that is not possible, you can still log in to the learning center after the retreat and access all of the retreat content.

Khentrul Rinpoche has kindly agreed to bestow the Heruka Vajrasattva Empowerment (Jenang / Permission Blessing) to support all practitioners wishing to do purification practice, and in particular those working with the Ngondro.
BENEFITS OF THE PRACTICE “Vajrasattva practice allows you to uncover the reality of your Buddha-nature, which is currently hidden as a result of defilements created by attachment, aggression and delusion. Our current situation is like a dirty piece of glass. This practice provides you with a powerful method to wash away the dirt while being confident that underneath there is crystal clear glass which is completely pure and unstained. Through the practice of Vajrasattva, this confidence will steadily grow as you come closer and closer to discovering the innate purity of your most profound nature.” (Khentrul Rinpoche)
This practice is done in the Jonang Kalachakra Ngondro for purification. If you are study and practicing this Ngondro, this retreat is highly recommended. You can take this empowerment no matter which form of Vajrasattva you practice.
WHO CAN ATTEND There are no formal prerequisites. Previous Buddhist study and practice are very helpful but not required. If you can attend the Heruka Vajrasattva Empowerment with Khentrul Rinpoche, you create more chances for success in the practice as this is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the teacher.

Rinpoche will give teachings to clarify the vajra yoga path from the Jonang lineage which has rarely been taught in this world outside of Tibet. We can not reach enlightenment if we do not know where we are going and how we can get there. This tantric path that has the completion stage of 6 Vajra Yogas is incredibly powerful. This teaching will go over in a concise way the path through the yogas so that you can understand if you take this empowerment and choose to practice where this journey leads. If you are taking the Kalachakra Empowerment, please attend this teaching. Khentrul Rinpoche will perform a preparation Ritual at this teaching to bless the ground and space for the Kalachakra Empowerment.
