Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled volunteer with expertise in Python scripting and an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance Dzokden’s social media presence. This role will involve leveraging AI and automation to streamline content creation, scheduling, and engagement across various platforms, helping us reach a wider audience with Rinpoche’s messages of a new Golden Age of peace and harmony.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Python scripts for social media automation tasks, such as:
- Automated posting and scheduling of content (text, images, videos) across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube (using relevant APIs and libraries like Tweepy, Facebook SDK, etc.).
- Content curation and aggregation from various sources relevant to Dzokden’s mission.
- Basic engagement automation (e.g., automated replies to common queries, liking/retweeting relevant posts).
Explore and integrate AI tools for content generation and optimization:
- Research and experiment with AI writing tools (e.g., Copy.ai, Writesonic, ChatGPT) to assist in generating compelling social media captions, headlines, and descriptions.
- Investigate AI-powered image/video creation tools (e.g., Canva with AI features, Lumen5, InVideo AI) to enhance visual content.
- Implement sentiment analysis using Python libraries (e.g., TextBlob) to understand audience perception of our social media posts.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze social media performance data using Python to identify trends and inform content strategy.
- Generate reports on engagement metrics, reach, and other key performance indicators.
Work closely with the Golden Age Development Team and Dzokden leaders to understand content needs and integrate automated solutions effectively.
Provide technical support and guidance on AI and automation best practices.
Keep abreast of the latest trends in AI, Python scripting, and social media automation to recommend innovative solutions.

Skills & Qualifications

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Proficiency in Python programming language.
Familiarity with social media APIs (e.g., Facebook Graph API, Twitter API) and relevant Python libraries (e.g., requests, tweepy, facebook-sdk, schedule).
Understanding of basic AI/Machine Learning concepts and a strong interest in their application to social media.
Experience with data manipulation and analysis using Python (e.g., pandas).
Prior experience in social media management or digital marketing is a plus.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; diligence; able to work through obstacles and challenges.
Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaborate with the review team, staff members and/or volunteers to fully support the project.
Flexibility and patience to adapt to changing requirements.
Openness to learn new technical skills and procedures; willingness to follow given standards, guidelines.
Able to transfer knowledge to future volunteers.
