Description

We are seeking a dedicated Volunteer to fill the role of Pilgrimage Coordinator to support the team in planning future pilgrimages to various destinations worldwide. This exciting role involves researching potential pilgrimage sites, planning the logistics and developing comprehensive travel itineraries. It is a perfect role for those who love to travel!

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on one or more potential pilgrimage sites in Mongolia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
Identify significant historical, cultural, and spiritual landmarks, as well as accommodations and transportation options.
Assess the feasibility and suitability of each location based on factors such as safety, accessibility, and alignment with Rinpoché’s spiritual objectives.
Collaborate with the team to create detailed itineraries.
Research flights, local accommodations and transportation.
Plan the group logistics, meals, baggage handling, and emergency procedures.
Develop a preliminary budget for expenses.

Enjoys researching and exploring potential pilgrimage sites.
Experience in travel planning and logistics is helpful.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong listening and comprehension skills.
Able to work independently with good organizational and time management skills, diligence, attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality.
Ability to collaborate with other volunteers and team members to fully support the project; ability to work in a team is essential.
Openness to learn new technical skills and procedures; willingness to follow given standards, guidelines.
Need for flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
Technical: Ability to use Google Workspace, Drive (transfer/upload large files) and Slack.
