Khentrul Rinpoche has agreed to bestow Karma Lingpa’s Zhitro Hearing Liberation empowerment and perform a Purification Puja at the request of the Chinese language group during the time of The Double Ninth Festival. The Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday observed in the Lunar calendar on the ninth day of the ninth month. Chinese people pay their respects to their ancestors. This is the second time a year that Chinese people have visited the graves of their ancestors.
This “hearing liberation” teaching cycle is part of the highest yoga tantra. Khentrul Rinpoche has a deep connection with this practice and has often received this empowerment. This cycle involves many liberation prayers and forms of practice. Due to its extensive preparation requirements, it is rarely performed publicly. However, it is highly beneficial for life, death, bardo, and rebirth processes and is especially good for repaying parents and ancestors. The Nyedren Purification and Liberation Puja helps sentient beings who have passed and are wandering in the bardo or any of the other six realms to liberate them to Samtrabhadrahood. This ceremony is effective for beings who have died, no matter how long ago. Through the prayer and the ritual performed, the consciousness of the deceased merges with the inseparable wisdom of the hundred deities. To conclude the ritual, we will burn all of the name tablets of the living and deceased. Despite the need for Khentrul Rinpoche’s extensive preparation, he has prepared this for us out of his compassion. Do not miss this important opportunity to participate now; you never know when death will come or when you can help your loved ones again.
ABOUT ZHITRO Zhitro, meaning “peaceful and wrathful,” denotes the assembly of forty-two peaceful and fifty-eight wrathful deities and was buried by Guru Padmasambhava in the eighth century. The teaching was revealed as terma in the 14th Century by the terton Karma Lingpa. These Buddhas are alternatively referred to as the bardo deities. The term ‘bardo’ signifies an ‘intermediate state,’ one of six such states, with the reference here being to the bardo of dying – the transitional phase between death and rebirth. During this phase, the one hundred Zhitro deities manifest themselves to the deceased to facilitate their liberation from the bardo. At some stages in the Bardo state, people need peaceful Deities; in other stages, people need wrathful ones to benefit their journey of awakening.
The teachings of Zhitro, as imparted by Guru Padmasambhava, establish a direct conduit for practitioners to engage with the bardo deities through dedicated practice and supplication. This empowerment is a blessing in our lives and prepares us for liberation in the bardo following our death. As per the Bardo Thodrol, a seminal text on the bardo in Vajrayana Buddhism (widely known as The Tibetan Book of the Dead), bardo deities present themselves to the deceased over a period of forty-nine days while the deceased is in the bardo. Initially, the peaceful deities appear, and if the deceased fails to recognize and attain liberation through these peaceful deities, the wrathful deities subsequently manifest. If the deceased cannot connect with the deities during this forty-nine-day period, their consciousness is drawn back into rebirth within one of the six realms.

SPONSOR THE PUJA
Many people enjoy watching various Pujas online performed by Lamas believing they are receiving a huge benefit. It is also common in the West for people to ask a lama to pray for them without making any offering or having a personal connection. While, as one of all sentient beings, you are connected to the results of the Puja made for the benefit of all sentient beings, the karmic connection is incredibly weak, and therefore so is the result. Normally during certain times in one’s life when a Puja or prayers are required to clear various karmic debts, obstacles, or karmically-based illness, it is customary to make financial offerings to the Lama for prayers and Pujas. This creates a stronger Karmic connection to the Puja, which creates a stronger karmic result.

Khentrul Rinpoche has agreed to bestow the Jenang of the White Dzambhala. While in general, the Wealth Yaksha Dzambhala is connected with generosity and Ratnasambhava, each form or color of the deity has a slightly different focus. White Dzambhala is seen as a manifestation of the Bodhisattva Chenrezig. He can eradicate poverty through cleansing negative karma and karmic obstacles while advancing our Bodhicitta aspiration. White Dzambhala brings us the knowledge of ethical discipline and purity. When there is mental clarity, ethics, and wisdom, financial resources can be put to their most effective use. To have financial stability we need purity in our understanding and view of financial resources. We have been working over the years as a community to cultivate a connection with all aspects of Dzambhala and in doing so, refine our ability to magnetize the true wealth, the Dharma to create a Golden Age.
This includes both the empowerment and a practice for White Dzambhala.
How to Prepare? There are no prerequisites for these teachings.

The Thousand Buddha Puja is rooted in the Nyingma Lineage, tracing back to King Songtsen Gampo, an emanation of Avalokiteshvara. Connecting to the power of each of the 1000 Buddhas enhances your spiritual practice by linking you to all the Buddhas of this fortunate eon. Through this connection, we work towards realizing a Golden Age of Peace and Harmony.
Connecting and learning from the aspirations of the Buddhas, we, too, can take steps to learn and practice in stages to reveal our own enlightened nature. The first step to changing the world to a more peaceful, harmonious place is to change ourselves. It is with each of the karmas we make, each cause and condition, that we plant the seeds to change ourselves and then, through our transformation, the world around us. Connecting with 1000 Buddhas and sharing their names creates powerful conditions for all who hear this to be reborn in a higher realm and to come into contact with the Dharma.
Joins us in Toronto and online to recite these names with Khentrul Rinpoche.

Open to All Students who wish to Practice Deity Yoga
This year Khentrul Rinpoche did not offer the Kalachakra Empowerment Wang online. Due to the request of many students who wish to prepare to be eligible for the Vajra Yoga Kalachakra completion stage practice, Rinpoche has kindly agreed to bestow the Innate Kalachakra Jenang.
In this weekend retreat, Rinpoche will introduce the Innate Kalachakra Deity to students who are completely new to the practice and offer more extensive information on the Kalachakra mandala for those continuing to deepen their practice. While the Jonang lineage emphasizes the completion stage practice and does not focus on the extensive generation stage practices, they do have them.
This teaching cycle will gradually introduce you to the Kalachakra mandala and the more extensive Sadhanas for the Sahaja Kalachakra.
By receiving the Innate Kalachakra Jenang Empowerment, you will have Khentrul Rinpoche’s blessing and permission to engage in the preliminary practices of the Highest Yoga Tantra, Kalachakra, including self-visualization as the Deity. This concise empowerment helps us connect with the essence of the Kalachakra deity.
Innate Kalachakra (Sahaja Kalachakra) is the main deity practice emphasized by the Jonang Lineage and the gateway to the completion stage. This lineage emphasizes the completion stage practice of the profound 6 Vajra yogas. As such, they choose to keep this deity practice simple and accessible in order to guide people towards their non-conceptual state as swiftly as possible.
This indestructible Vajra yoga Path can lead practitioners to achieve enlightenment in a single lifetime or to attain a rebirth in the Bodhisattva pure realm of Shambhala. Just connecting with this empowerment plants the seed for your future enlightenment whether you choose to activate them in this life or the next.
Included: -Overview of the Kalachakra Mandala -Meaning of the Mandala -Deities in the Mandala -Extensive Innate Kalachakra Sadhana

It is said that teaching the Buddhadharma that the sons are more skilled than the fathers and that even the Buddha got better with practice. The early teachings say very little about the realized experience, and the Buddha remained silent on many points. The subsequent Perfection of Wisdom teachings says a little more but shy from saying too much about nonconceptual wisdom for fear of polluting it. Later in life, the Buddha was ready to talk about such things, and students were ready to hear them. After a thousand years, tantric masters learned the trick of making such insights about the fruition of the heart of the path. Here, you can read how Dolpopa presents these final teachings in all their glory, without invalidating any of those that came before.
One of the most important texts in all of Jonang Dharma is Dolpopa Sherab Gylatsen Mountain Dharma, commonly known as the Mountain Doctrine. Rime Lodrö (Ives Waldo) translated the book from Tibetan to English to ensure that the Zhentong view was properly translated.
