Jonang Lineage Support & Legacy

Preserving the Fifth School of Tibetan Buddhism

Protect the Profound Wisdom of the Jonang-Kalachakra Lineage

Dzokden is dedicated to protecting the profound wisdom of the Jonang-Kalachakra lineage. For centuries, the Jonang tradition—the fifth major school of Tibetan Buddhism—has preserved the unique Zhentong (Other-Emptiness) view and the complete six-fold path of the Kalachakra Tantra.

Current Activities

Our mission is to provide the comprehensive infrastructure necessary to sustain the Jonang lineage by focusing on several strategic pillars of support:

  • Monastic & Leadership Support: Providing direct financial support, grants, and scholarships to Jonang lamas and monks, ensuring they have the resources to continue their intensive study and retreat.
  • Knowledge Exchange: Inviting advanced monastic and non-monastic scholars to teach within our global community, providing more opportunity for people across the world to access these precious teachings.
  • Cultural Preservation: Sponsoring specific Jonang Monlams (Prayer Festivals) and local projects that further the awareness and spiritual strength of the lineage.
#RecognizeJonang Campaign: Leading the vital global advocacy effort to bring formal recognition and awareness to the Jonang as a distinct and essential school of Tibetan Buddhism.
  • Global Publication: Translating and publishing sacred Kalachakra-Jonang texts in over 15 languages, ensuring the “Lamp of the Dharma”—the unbroken succession of realized masters—shines in every corner of the world.

Our Aspirations and Why This Matters

By building these foundations, we ensure the Jonang-Kalachakra lineage remains a transformative force for the future and preserves one of the world’s most precious spiritual treasures.
