The Great Treasury of Definitive Meaning

Our Dzokden translation team aspires to produce a comprehensive 16-volume collection of texts that reveal the profound essence of the perfectly complete Golden Dharma. These precious teachings are crucial not only for the flourishing of the Golden Age, but also for the preservation and transmission of a rich spiritual tradition. By translating these texts into modern languages, we aim to make accessible the rich textual tradition that emphasizes the direct realization of the definitive meaning through the cultivation of non-conceptual primordial wisdom—ensuring that these teachings can inspire practitioners in today’s world.

The manifestation of the golden age is rooted in our capacity to realise the nature of ultimate reality. For this reason, the Buddha taught many skilful means to clearly distinguish this nature and subsequently realise it within our experience. The tenth-level Bodhisattvas—the Dharma Kings of Shambhala—made summaries and gave extensive commentaries on these teachings. While the Two Precious Ones—Nagarjuna and Asanga—clarified these teachings and made them accessible to a much broader audience. The Omniscient Buddha from Dolpo was prophesied by Buddha Shakyamuni as the one who would clarify for the benefit of all sentient beings the perfection of the definitive meaning. By relying on these texts without bias, all sentient beings have the capacity to remove their personal limitations and to bring forth a golden age of peace and harmony.
