Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled volunteer to contribute to the development and implementation of generative AI tools that will support Khentrul Rinpoché’s mission. This exciting opportunity will use generative AI technology to enhance our outreach, create engaging content, and streamline our operations. The volunteer will have a strong understanding of generative AI models.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the Golden Age Development Team and Dzokden leaders to understand the needs and identify opportunities where generative AI can provide valuable solutions.
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and the development of project proposals for generative AI applications (e.g., content creation, text summarization, image generation, audio/video generation).
Assist in the development, training, and fine-tuning of generative AI models using relevant datasets and platforms.
Support the integration of developed AI tools into existing workflows and platforms, and participate in rigorous testing and quality assurance.
Apply a strong understanding of ethical AI principles, ensuring that all development aligns with the Dharma values of compassion, non-harming, and wisdom.
Create clear and concise documentation for developed models, processes, and deployment strategies.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI and proactively suggest innovative applications relevant to Dzokden’s goals.

Skills & Qualifications

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Strong understanding of generative AI concepts and models (e.g., large language models, diffusion models, transformers).
Experience with programming languages relevant to AI development (e.g., Python); familiarity with AI development frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
Experience with data handling, preprocessing, and model training.
A strong commitment to ethical AI development and a sensitivity to the values and mission of Dzokden.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communications skills.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; diligence; able to work through obstacles and challenges.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with the review team, staff members and/or volunteers to fully support the project.
Flexibility and patience to adapt to changing requirements.
Openness to learn new technical skills and procedures; willingness to follow given standards, guidelines.
Able to transfer knowledge to future volunteers.
